Allen Mondell decided to join the Peace Corps immediately after President Kennedy announced the launch of the program in 1961. He was working as a member of the Peace Corps in Sierra Leone at the time of the assassination. Years later he teamed with his wife Cynthia Mondell to write, produce and direct the documentary films seen in the permanent exhibition at The Sixth Floor Museum. This program marks the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy's establishment of the Peace Corps. This program is view only. However, students will be encouraged to submit their own questions for Mr. Mondell in advance. A small selection of the best questions will be asked during the Q&A session at the end of the presentation!
