On September 17, 1787, the delegates to the Constitutional Convention met for the last time to sign the document they had created. The National Archives at Fort Worth celebrates this important day in our nation's history by presenting a program for students of all levels to learn more about our Constitution and government.

MEET A MUSHER: Special Multi-Point Program


If you know us, you know that our most popular and award winning programs are Mushing Alaska and Meet a Musher. This year we are providing special multi-point programs for each of these events each month. But you will not want to miss out on this month's special Multi-Point MEET A MUSHER, as we introduce our newest and youngest member of the sled dog mushing group. This program is great for kicking off a unit on Iditarod, Alaska or studies in culture and lifestyle, or goal setting. Students will get a chance to follow the young 13 year old musher in his first year of preparing and racing the Junior Iditarod with his 8 dogs.

Gold Fever! Create a Community, Resolve a Crime!


Conflict on the Klondike! A miner is accused of Claim- Jumping. Can you help resolve the conflict by participating in a
miner's meeting? Join classes as they investigate the clues at a gold rush mining camp while learning about conflict resolution, brushing up on math skills such as volume, and investigating the history of the gold rush. This program will provide a great example and purpose for classroom community building making it a great way to kick off your
school year.

Grades 1-8: Adaptations Explorations: Owls

  Owls are remarkable birds and serve as an incredible model for your students learn about form, function, and adaptations! Leishawn Spotted Bear will make these concepts come alive using interactive activities and the Museum’s outstanding bird collection. Young students (K-2nd) will focus on basic needs and physical characteristics, while older students (3rd-5th) will discuss adaptations in more depth. Both programs feature an owl pellet dissection. Kit will include 11 owl pellets.

FREE Grades 4-12: Scientists in Action - Healthy, Unique, You

Join Nicole Garneau, PhD, curator of human health, for an inside look at your health, the mystery of genetic traits, and the science behind DNA. Students are linked with scientists as they broadcast live from their field sites or Museum labs. Scientists share new discoveries, demonstrate field research techniques, and answer questions from students.

Grades 11-12: ACT Prep Over Videoconference


For just $140, each student gets three practice tests, 20 hours of interactive instruction over videoconference from The Princeton Review over 5-weeks, and access to online resources (for 120 days). Participating students need to be at a site with videoconferencing equipment. Each site must have a facilitator.
