Presents
Tim Conway
Tim Conway is an American comedian and actor, primarily known for his roles in sitcoms, films and television.
Conway's often-improvised humor, razor-sharp timing and hilarious characters have made him one of the funniest and most authentic performers to grace the stage and studio in the last forty years. He has garnered six Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe, and major accolades from critics and three generations of fans. Conway first made it big playing the character Ensign Charles Parker in the popular 1960s WWII sitcom, McHale's Navy. He is best known for his work, in the 1970's, on the popular variety series The Carol Burnett Show.
Conway was born in Willoughby and grew up in nearby Chagrin Falls. He attended Bowling Green State University majoring in speech and radio. Mr. Conway is now on tour appearing in theaters around the country in a sketch comedy review called "Tim Conway and Friends."
Hosted by Scott Simon of NPR's Weekend Edition, Mr. Conway will discuss his career journey on television, in theater and film.
