It's Electric! The LORAX
A program from the Methacton High School Electric Car Club
Students from Methacton High School will share their 'secrets of success' during this highly engaging and interactive event! Learn about their Electric Car Club and why it's important to look into alternative energy sources. This program will show how battery electric vehicles work by using their electric car, how solar cells produce electricity while showing their solar cells and sensor arrays and the practicality of using renewable energy to charge an electric vehicle. You will also be introduced to their latest project of converting a diesel truck to run on vegetable oil. The goal of the club is to explore energy resources one car at a time

Target Audience: Students in Grades 9-12
Cost: Free!
Requirements for Participation: There are 8 spaces available for MAGPI Members and Non-MAGPI Members. Members must have H.323 videoconferencing capabilities. Non-Members must have H.323 videoconference capabilities and be connected to their state or national research and education network.
