Wednesday, January 28 - 10:30 to 12:00
A Free WVIZ/PBS Ideastream Special Distance Learning Opportunity for Schools on the Occasion of the 2009 Lincoln Bicentennial

WVIZ/PBS ideastream is pleased to announce a special distance learning program to coincide with the nationwide Lincoln Bicentennial celebration. This program will concentrate on the life and legacy of the man widely considered one of our best - and most enigmatic - presidents, Abraham Lincoln.

On Wednesday, January 28, schools can participate in this special distance learning program. The program will be from 10:30-12:00 and will consist of a panel discussion with historians. "Abraham Lincoln" himself will be present giving his famous Gettysburg Address as well as a Press Conference with the audience. The panelists (Dr. Peter Rutkoff, Chair History Department, Kenyon College; Mel Maurer, author, historian and expert on Lincoln; John Fazio, President of the Cleveland War Roundtable; and John Vecha, author, historian and expert on Lincoln's connection with Ohio) will discuss Lincoln as a man, his views on slavery, the civil war and Lincoln's Ohio connection.

Time:10:30-12:00
