Grades 5-12: Individuals Take on Sustainability

We hear about “going green” all the time, but what does that really mean? How do you take the concept and put it into action? To learn about real green initiatives that are making a difference at Washington University in St. Louis, we invite you and your students to meet the folks behind the green dreams. Learn about “Green Action,” an environmental advocacy group on campus and find out how you too can become an advocate. Learn about the organic garden and other “green techniques” used by the campus restaurant. Learn about what’s happening on the campus with biodiesel fuel. And this is just the beginning. Ask your questions and find out more. Cost for the program is FREE.
