Don’t Miss Award-Winning Author Patricia MacLachlan!
Newbery and Golden Kite award-winning author Patricia MacLachlan returns to videoconference from the galleries of the Amon Carter Museum this May! Perhaps best known for Sarah, Plain and Tall, MacLachlan has written more than thirty children’s books and is an engaging and inspiring speaker for students of all ages. A museum educator will make connections between MacLachlan’s books Journey and Painting the Wind and works from the Carter’s collection, which will complement MacLachlan’s meaningful message about the writing process.
Read teachers’ praise about Patricia MacLachlan’s previous CILC Pinnacle award-winning videoconference from the Amon Cater Museum:
"She illustrates how she gets the ideas for her stories and demonstrates that students, too, have their own stories that would lend themselves to writing. She was absolutely charming, and her humor helped keep the students engaged."
—Heather Hackmann, fourth-grade teacher in the Parkway School District
