Grades 7-12: Royal Botanical Gardens

Karin Davidson-Taylor
Outreach Education Coordinator, Royal Botanical Gardens

When is a tree, a branch, a mound of dirt or a leaf more than
meets the eye? When it is uses these natural items to create
Earth art or Ephemeral art. The artist utilizes natural materials
and plants to create both large- and small- scale installations
in diverse indoor and outdoor sites. Landscape and art
become inextricably linked, revealing new relationships with
nature, landscape and the environment.

Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) announces a special interactive school program,
Earth Art, for students and adults. You will have an opportunity to interact with
the site manager of the exhibit, Nancy Prochuk, about the one-of-a-kind
environmental and ephemeral installations that are being created in our gardens
