Program Description
The Conference was designed to celebrate holidays from all around the world. Teachers are encouraged early in the academic year to develop programs to share with others. On the day of the conference classes are able to join in and share their presentation with others connected to the community. Activities are scheduled throughout the conference day to allow all people in all time zones to participate. This conference offered students the opportunity to unite with other institutions and share the divergent ways they celebrate. In 2006 the presentations and schools that participated were:• Holiday Performance – Cleveland Institute of Music, Cleveland, OH• The Night Before Christmas – Avon East Elementary School, Avon, OH• Portray Various Tradition – St. Paul Lutheran Elementary School, Taylor, TX• French Holiday Tradition – ITIN – Cergy, St. Christopher, France • A Multicultural Christmas – Northmount Elementary, Edmonton, Alberta • A Texas Night Before Christmas – Killough Middle School, Houston, TX• Keeping Our Ethnic Roots Growing – St Thomas Aquinas Middle School, Red Deer, Alberta • Holiday Potpourri – Mahanay Elementary, Houston, TX• Mexican Christmas Piñatas – Sinton High School, Sinton, TX• Traditions Around the World and in Our Home – Mt Zion Elementary, Lewisberry, PA• Christmas Bazaar – Secondary Nurse School Ljubljana, Ljubljana, Slovenia • A Child’s View of Carols – Cambia Elementary, Ebensburg, PA• Saint Nicholas Piece – CERMUSA, Saint Francis University, Loretto, PA• Holiday Lights on the Lake - Lakemount Park, Altoona, PA• A Franciscan Christmas – Saint Francis University, Loretto, PA• Santa Claus – North Pole
